Deal screening for VC funds. Your rule set, not ours.

CORE by Paretix is deal screening software for venture capital funds. It sorts inbound startup applications by your fund's own rule set and shows how every score is derived. The decision stays with your fund.

The pile arrives sorted. By your rule set.

CORE is the screening layer between your inbox and your CRM. Every application is checked for plausibility and scored against your rule set.

  1. Structured, not a pile of PDFs. Your CoreLink takes founders through around 40 structured fields, from MRR to cap table. Every application arrives complete. Nobody on your side retypes a deck.

  2. Checked before you read. 13 plausibility checks run automatically, for example whether the cap table adds up to more than 100% or whether ARR fits MRR. Anything that does not add up is flagged before you open the deck.

  3. Scored, with the reasoning. The rule engine scores every deal against your investment criteria, with separate rules for each stage from pre-seed to Series B. The standard rule set has over 100 rules in 7 areas. You take the standard and adapt it to your thesis. Every score shows how it was reached.

Rules you can read. No language model.

CORE does not use a language model. The score comes from rules your fund can read and change. For every score, CORE shows which rules applied. Your deals are not sent to any AI provider.

From the CORE standard rule set: over 100 rules in 7 areas, adapted by your fund.

Compared with your own deals.

CORE places every new deal next to the deals of the same stage that were submitted to your fund, not next to an outside benchmark. 8 metrics, shown as percentiles.

For the investment committee, CORE creates an IC memo as a PDF in one click, including how the score was derived.

Your CRM stays your CRM.

CORE does not replace a CRM. One click hands a deal to Attio or Affinity, with up to 48 data points per deal.

Hosted in Frankfurt.

  • Database and authentication run in Frankfurt (Supabase on AWS eu-central-1). Backend and delivery run in Frankfurt as well (Vercel, region fra1).
  • Each fund's data is separated in the database at row level. A mandatory test checks this separation before every release.
  • The data processing agreement is included. You receive it, with the list of subprocessors, on request.

Questions, briefly answered.

How is the score calculated?

From rules you can read. Each rule checks one value, such as monthly MRR growth, and awards points for it, depending on the deal's stage. The standard has over 100 rules in 7 areas, and your fund adapts it. CORE shows the reasoning behind every score, in the IC memo too.

Does an AI score our deals?

No. CORE does not use a language model. Your deals are not sent to any AI provider.

Can other funds see our deals?

No. Every data row is tied to your fund, and the database enforces the separation at row level. Even a bug in the interface could not show another fund's deals.

What happens if we cancel?

You first receive a complete, verified export of your data. Only then is it deleted. The process is documented and tested.
